Arctic Ocean - marine species only.  Western boundary is the International border with Alaskan waters, and eastern boundaries are the tip of Ellesmere Island, south to Cumberland Pen (Baffin), further south to across Hudson Strait.  General distribution information.  For most species, the distribution information is being updated using more detailed ecozone descriptions (see 12- 16)

Atlantic Ocean - marine species only in Nunavut.  Western boundary is the tip of Ellesmere Island, south to Cumberland Pen (Baffin), further south to across Hudson Strait and eastern boundary is the International border with Greenland, Denmark and the International oceanic waters. General distribution information.  For most species, Nunavut is updating the distribution information.
