Firearm Safety

Please remember firearms can be dangerous tools. Use the following tips to help you safety enjoy your hunting trip:

Treat every firearm as if it were loaded.

Always control the muzzle of your firearm.

Be sure of your target and beyond.

Never shoot at a flat hard surface, including water.

Never point a firearm at anything you don’t want to shoot.

Never climb, run or jump with a load firearm.

Lock up firearms and ammunition separately.

Be sure the barrel is clear of obstructions.

Unload firearms when not in use.

Avoid alcohol before and during a hunt.
