The Western NWT Biophysical Study was established in 2003 to help ensure
that baseline data necessary to assess, mitigate and monitor the environmental
impacts of proposed developments in the Western NWT is available to industry,
regulators, communities and government. The program focuses on areas within the
mandate of ENR namely: wildlife, wildlife habitat, forests, and air quality.
