The NWT Biodiversity Matrix represents an initial listing of the numerous actions and initiatives undertaken across the NWT that touch directly and indirectly on the goals of the Canadian Biodiversity Strategy.

Using the NWT Biodiversity Matrix, you can search for actions in several different ways:

By Goals of the Canadian Biodiversity Strategy (CBS). The CBS has five major goals that provide a framework for action towards sustainable development and describes how Canada will contribute to international efforts to implement the UN Convention on Biological Diversity (UNCBD).

By Articles of the UN Convention on Biodiversity. Select and search by UNCBD Articles pertaining to actions on biological diversity.

By Strategies of the Canadian Biodiversity Strategy. The CBS describes a series of strategic directions for action and implementation. You can search for actions in the NWT according to these strategies.

By Collaborators. Search for NWT actions being implemented by members of the NWT Biodiversity Team.

By Actions. Search for NWT actions being implemented by keywords of the NWT Biodiversity Actions.

By All of these search categories. Select multiple criteria from the above categories for a listing of NWT actions that correspond to a precise description. Don't make this search too complicated or you may not get any results!
